The project
The first demolition stage started just before Xmas 2017. Located in Peregian Beach with picturesque ocean views, this home renovation has re-modelled upstairs and down to suit the modern family.
The brief
Not long purchased, the layout and design had to be modified to suit the modern – and often hectic family lifestyle. Going off the Building Designers plan, our brief was to modify the entire ground and upper floors with new an improved floorplan, new kitchen and bathrooms, bedrooms and laundry.
Once ceilings, walls and floors were removed, we soon realised that we had inherited a few issues left by past trades and handymen. Some of the ceiling heights were too low and some incorrect joist sizes. We’re always up for a challenge and each fault was diligently resolved and brought up to Australian building standards.
The place is immaculate. So proud of our team for pulling this together and as quickly as they have… and with the challenges! Finished with a neutral, beachy colour palette and textures. Newly installed, expansive stacker doors have added endless light and opened up the living area to make best use of the ocean views. Complete with a cute morning coffee spot.
